Happy Holidays from Ron Burns Studio!
Rufus the Red-Nosed Rescue

Hello Ron

If you know me, and my art, I will assume you know the story of my late rescue, Rufus. But what you might not know, is that a little over thirty years ago we met Rufus at a holiday party on a mini ranch in Sedona, Arizona. When we arrived, a group of dogs stormed us to say hello, along with Rufus. But Rufus was a new pup that had just recently stumbled upon this ranch as an orphan and all the other doggies just laughed and called him names. They never let poor Rufus join in any of their doggie games (true story). Well, Buff and I sat down on the steps to the front door and, feeling sorry for Rufus, friended him. The host said he’s yours if you want him, and when we left the party Rufus had a new home.

Now that’s not the end of the story. You see Rufus had a holiday gift for me. He helped me to unpack one of the best gifts I could ever ask for. The gift of being an artist. He quickly became the inspiration for my art. His gift to me became a gift to many.

Thank you for having me be a part of your life and allowing me to share my art with you. And so, during these holidays, I ask that you remember Rufus the Red-Nosed Rescue and how he went down in history because he touched so many lives and brought us all together. Happy Holidays!

Winter Wags,

Ron, Buff & Breezy
